Best of emo music

Since the Emo culture originated as a musical preference, it’s only fitting that we devote some time and discussion to the best that Emo music has to often.  This,, therefore, is a 15-part series on music that the discerning Emo prefers. “Embrace” is a CD recorded by the group of the same name in 1985.  Some of their lyrics are humorous because they lack any kind of subtlety, but Emos like it because the lyrics expose the human condition for all to experience.  The main problem with the group (which no longer exists) is their songs needed to be polished up a bit. “Can I Say” was produced by the band Dag Nasty.  The CD includes a song popular among Emos, “Wig Out at Denko’s.”  The entire album is melodic, fast punk, but it’s enjoyed by Emos because the vocals are emotive and heartfelt, with introspective, hopeful lyrics. “Fugazi” is the name of the band their CD with 13 songs, most of which show that there is often more accomplished by a restrained song than in full-blast punk.
